Bankwood Resident garden party

At residential and nursing care home, Bankwood, in Duffield, there was a bit of normality back as a barbecue was held for the Residents’ garden party.

Colleagues and Residents all sat outside enjoying the sunshine and the lovely food, which was prepared by Chef, Lisa. 

There was a selection of delicious treats including cheeseburgers, hot dogs with onions, skewed kebabs, potato salad and pasta salad, followed by dessert which was a lovely trifle.

Coinciding with the day one Colleague, Marlo, was celebrating his 30th birthday so a cake was made for him too and it was a wonderful way to celebrate with everyone.  

The Residents really enjoyed the day and finished the afternoon off with a sing-along.

Home Manager, Izeta Hamza, commented, “Thank you, everyone for all your hard work. The Residents have asked for another one already.”
