BB Falcon Brings Joy to Silverwood Care HomeResidents at Silverwood Care Home in Beeston, Nottingham, were treated to a magical afternoon recently when BB Falcon visited with a spectacular display of owls. From majestic barn owls to striking little owls, the birds captivated everyone as they were brought up close for residents to observe and interact with.

The session sparked curiosity and excitement, with residents asking a wide range of thoughtful questions about the owls’ behaviour, habitats, and unique personalities. Some residents were fascinated to learn how the birds hunt silently, while others were keen to discover more about their diets and daily routines.

Kayleigh Eager, Wellbeing Coordinator at Silverwood, said the visit created a buzz of engagement across the home.

"It was wonderful to see how engaged everyone was. The residents were full of brilliant questions, and watching their faces light up as they learned about the owls made the whole visit truly special," she shared.

The interactive session not only entertained but also provided a meaningful opportunity for residents to connect with nature and one another, encouraging conversation, learning, and laughter. The Silverwood team is already planning further wildlife themed experiences to keep that excitement going and ensure residents continue to enjoy moments of joy and discovery.

Silverwood Care Home is dedicated to creating enriching experiences for its residents, promoting wellbeing, curiosity, and engagement every day.
