Beach day for Greengables ResidentsResidents at Greengables residential and nursing care home, in Congleton, had a wonderful time for their beach themed day today.

Everyone helped to make decorations, and Colleague Lesley put up fairy lights to simulate a beach front.

Lesley wore a traditional Victorian bathing costume, much to the Residents’ amusements, as she visited the rooms of Residents and everyone had a good laugh!

All residents involved got together before lunch for a sea-side themed sing along and played beach ball and volleyball.

Fish and chips were served in take-away boxes as well as and ice-cream for afternoon tea.

Everyone really enjoyed the lunch in takeaway boxes, with one commenting, “It’s how we used to eat fish and chips on holiday!”

Lesley remarked, “What great fun all day! Everyone had such a wonderful time.”
