On 30th November, both Residents and Colleagues at
Parklands residential and nursing care home, near Caerphilly, glitzed up the home to celebrate Diwali in style.
Colleagues dressed in beautiful clothing and Residents created some Diwali themed artwork.
The home joined fellow HC-One care homes via video link to celebrate this festival of light to welcome the bright future to come.
A special curry was served for lunch and a beautiful tea too.
Residents, including Phyllis Price, Marion White and Betty Hopings, enjoyed joining in; dancing and singing ‘Relight my Fire’ with the rest of the HC-One homes.
Phyllis remarked, “I really enjoyed taking part in this, it was nice to see everyone, and I love the clothes.”
Marion added, while admiring Colleagues clothing, “Oh this is lovely, I like what you are wearing!”
Alison Durbridge, Care Home Manager, commented, “We are proud to join our sister homes in coming together to celebrate this festival of light, to usher a bright future.”
