Bethlehem comes to the Elms care home'Twas a night in December, when all through the home, The Elms Staff were stirring and a donkey was left to roam.

The Elms Colleagues put on a performance of the Nativity for the Residents as a way of bringing the festive spirit during what has been an incredibly tough year.

Led by the Activity Team, Colleagues were allocated their parts and have been rehearsing day and night to be perfect. Costumes were made and then the day arrived.

"We have been practicing hard for this performance, we hope the Residents enjoy it," said a member of the activities team.

The Residents waited patiently whilst enjoying a Christmas 'tipple' and the performance began! Residents joined in with the carols and laughed throughout the performance...especially when the Home Manager came on stage dressed as the Donkey!!

What a wonderful evening enjoyed by both Colleagues and Residents...and has definitely put everyone in the Christmas mood!

The Residents enjoyed the performance and enjoyed singing along to the carols.

Katie Coulson, Home Manager, said, “What a wonderful event that the staff worked so hard for, (it) was so lovely to see Residents and staff laughing and singing together.”
