Residents at HC-One’s
Woodcross care home in Birmingham have took part in a competition held by Colleagues at the home, to see who can grow the tallest sunflower.
Woodcross wellbeing coordinator Heather has been busy encouraging Residents to join in the Woodcross Sunflower Competition early this May. Those who have participated have been given their own pot to decorate first and plant their seeds.
Residents enjoyed getting their hands dirty and planting their sunflower seeds. Many Residents loved gardening in their younger days, so it was nice for them to get back amongst the soil.
Everyone at the home are now waiting patiently to see whose will grow the tallest.
At the heart of Bloxwich in Walsall in the West Midlands, Woodcross is a lovely, purpose-built care home, which offers nursing care to individuals with a mental illness, such as Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder and depression.
