Birthday celebrations at Chelmsford care home

Celebrations were in order at HC-One’s Admiral Reach care home, as Resident, Myrtle, celebrated her 90th birthday.

Born in Ireland in 1930, Myrtle enjoyed life with her family. She grew to work in a hardward shop before beginning to work in a hospital for Hungarian refugees.

Married to Charles, they shared two sons together which grew further as she now also has a grandson, Harry, expanding her family as she originally came from a family consisting of two other siblings.

To celebrate her birthday, Colleagues at the home gifted Myrtle with a bouquet of flowers and gifts as everyone sang her ‘happy birthday’.

Lal Mangalam, home manager, commented: “We hope Myrtle has had a wonderful day, her birthday has been so special and it’s been lovely to celebrate with her family.”
