Biscuit decorating at West Derby care homeResidents at Bellefield Court care home, Merseyside, enjoyed taking part in the ‘McVities Tasties Biscuit Decorating Competition’, in which an entry could win up to £1000 worth of Afternoon Tea supplies for the home!

Colleagues and Residents’ chosen theme was 'sweetshop', and the Residents loved reminiscing about sweets and chocolate they used to love, as well as the sweetshops they used to go to.

Ten of the Residents were in attendance, and they used edible glitter, candyfloss, marshmallows and icing sugar to make their creations. One of the newest Residents used to be a cake decorator, and so it was a special afternoon in particular for her, and her biscuit creations turned out beautifully.

“Winners of the competition will be announced in November so we can't wait to hear the outcome!”, one of the Colleagues at Bellefield Court stated.

Home Manager, Jacqueline Bridge, commented, 'It was great to see them all socialising, Residents all enjoyed trying something new and reminiscing about sweets they used to love.”
