Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Woodcross care home had an unexpected visitor recently when an injured goose arrived outside their front door.
After a few attempts, Colleagues were able to bring him to the garden for safety whilst they contacted the local rescue organisation to collect the goose.
Upon collection, the goose was taken to a local vets and Colleagues in the home were delighted to find out that it will now live at the local Arboretum lake amongst the other geese.
Home Manager, Dawn Attwell, commented: “We were surprised to have the goose outside our home, especially as it was unfortunately injured. We are so delighted it has recovered and can be released to the local lake though.”
