Bradford care home Residents spread love through the community with craftsResidents are sharing their love with the local community through arts and crafts this week at HC-One’s Knowles Court care home in Holmwood, West Yorkshire.

They have been making lovely cards to send not only to their loved ones, but to children at a local school as well. They have even been making bird feeders so that their local feathered friends can enjoy a Valentine’s Day treat as well.

Craft time is a great way for Residents to interact with each other and everyone enjoyed swapping their romantic memories and favourite family stories with one another.

Their week has involved lots of glitter, love hearts and even bird seed as Residents took part in their favourite crafts projects to spread love to everyone in the local community.

After crafting beautiful cards for their families and partners, many Residents decided to make cards for children at a local primary school as well.

The children have been sending letters to Knowles Court to keep Residents in high spirits, so everyone decided this week would be the perfect time to send their responses to share their love in the lead-up to Valentine’s Day.

Knowles Court Home Manager, Samantha Whinray, commented: “The ladies who joined in had a great time, it took them back to bringing up their children. It’s really lovely hearing the Residents recalling their family life.”
