Today a Resident at HC-One’s
Appleton Manor care home, in Stockport, celebrated her 74th birthday.
Carolyn, pictured, was joined by her family, who came all the way from London to celebrate this special occasion. Sister-in-law, Pat, and brother-in-law, Rob, as well as niece Ellen, all joined in with the celebrations.
Carolyn enjoyed a homemade cake made by Ellen, and was showered in flowers and chocolates which were given as gifts from all the family. She also enjoyed a tipple of cider with her cake. Carolyn also received birthday cards and letters from her old school friends, Joyce and Angela, who also keep in touch with her regularly.
Having previously been a Morris dancer when she was young, Carolyn enjoys listening to old folk music, so her family brought some old CDs for her to listen to throughout the afternoon.
Carolyn said that she had an amazing day and thanked everyone for coming.
Sarah, who is a member of the wellbeing team, commented, “What a lovely morning to spend with Carolyn and her family. Carolyn was so overwhelmed and seemed to really enjoy herself.”
