Burns Night celebrations at Lincolnshire care home

Residents enjoyed traditional Scottish food and afternoon tea today to celebrate Burns Night at HC-One’s Willow Court in Cherry Willingham, Lincoln.

Everyone tucked into beef stew with whisky dumplings for their main course, followed by traditionally prepared cranachan.

One Resident commented: “The whisky dumplings were delicious!”

Residents then brought out their competitive side for a quiz on all things Scotland, followed by a beautifully-made three tier cake.

Willow Court Home Manager, Jo Keenan, said: “Everyone loved looking at the amazing cake!”

But Residents certainly enjoyed eating it more than they liked looking at it as they washed the cake down with afternoon tea.
