Cardiff care home Residents compete in singing competitionToday at St Mellons Quarry Hall care home, which offers residential and nursing care, as well as memory care for those living with dementia, a singing competition was held among Residents, and many stole the show!

This morning, to get everyone in good spirits, Colleagues started the week on a high and decided to hold a singing session with music from back in the 40s, 50s, 60s and so on!

There were happy tears from some Residents who became emotional at the singing and many had an unknown talent for it! Some Residents even had a little dance.

Frank, who lives at Quarry Hall, was the winner. But a big well done to Pat, Evelyn, Doreen, Vera, Molly, Rosalind and Joyce for all taking part.

Betty said, “Singing makes me happy!”

Carla Arcanjo, Care Home Manager, commented, “A nice performance from our lovely Residents and what a brilliant morning we had!”
