Care home residents welcome Penrith and Solway MP visitHC-One’s Cold Springs Park and Winters Park Care Homes in Penrith, Cumbria, were delighted to receive a visit from Markus Campbell-Savours, MP for Penrith and Solway, on Tuesday, July 29. 

Residents and colleagues from both HC-One care homes enjoyed the opportunity to meet their local MP and talk with him about life at Cold Springs Park and Winters Park. The visit provided a chance to share insights into the important role the care homes play in the local community and to highlight the quality care and activities offered to residents. 

Cold Springs Park is a 60 bedded care home, offering residential and residential dementia care and Winters Park is a 40 bedded care home, providing residential and residential dementia care. Both homes are proud to be part of the HC-One family, focused on kindness, care and supporting older people to live their best lives. 

During the visit, MP Markus Campbell-Savours was given a tour of the facilities, including resident bedrooms, lounges, landscaped gardens, and communal areas. He spent time engaging with residents and team members, learning more about their experiences and the day-to-day running of the homes.

It was a great opportunity to speak openly about the care sector, our local community, and how we can work together to ensure residents continue to receive the high standard of care they deserve. 
 
“It was also a pleasure to show MP Markus Campbell-Savours around Winters Park. He took the time to speak to everyone and really listened to the stories and concerns shared. Visits like this help shine a light on the incredible work taking place in social care every day.”
