Carntyne care home embraces global diversity with joyful Culture Day celebrationHC-One Scotland’s Greenfield Park Care Home, in Carntyne, near Glasgow, hosted a lively celebration of Culture Day on Friday, May 2, that saw residents, families, and members of the local community honour the rich diversity of cultures within the home.

The event showcased traditions from Greece, Nigeria, Ireland, Scotland, India, Philippines, Egypt, and Thailand through an array of dance, music, traditional attire, cultural talks, food and stories.

The event, held at Greenfield Park Care Home, brought together global cultures to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere where attendees connected over the unique heritage and experiences of each culture.

Attendees were able to enjoy different snacks and treats that originate from these different countries. From Tunnock’s teacakes to Nigerian plantain chips, those attending the event celebrated cultural diversity through every delicious bite.

The day highlighted the power of community and cultural pride, with vibrant performances and heartfelt storytelling. 

Adelle Bryant, HC-One Scotland’s Greenfield Park Care Home Manager, shared her enthusiasm for the event:
