Cedar House celebrate National Ice-cream Day

To celebrate National Ice-cream day. The Colleagues at Cedar House care home had a day of summer themed fun activities which included games, crafts and a music quiz. To top it off there was even a trolley stocked with ice cream and toppings to mark the occasion.

The Residents were very excited to see the ice-cream trolley and their faces really lit up as they made their choices from different flavours of ice cream and toppings in a bowl or cornet or a choice of Ice lollies. Even the staff enjoyed this special treat.

Resident Christina loved the different choices on offer the most, she said, “Thank you so much this is such a treat, I love strawberry Ice cream and sprinkles.” 

Another Resident, Joan M commented, “I haven’t had a rocket lolly since I was a little girl.”

The activities team were so pleased the day went well and the Residents really enjoyed themselves.
