Betty Ashmore celebrated her 100th birthday at HC-One’s Cold Springs Park care home in Penrith on Tuesday 23rd February.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Betty was unable to be surrounded by her loved ones, but the team at Cold Springs Park were dedicated to making her day extra special. Betty was showered with cards, flowers and gifts, including her special card from Her Majesty, The Queen and staff had decorated Betty’s room with balloons and banners.
The highlight of Betty’s day was a surprise window visit from her granddaughter, which brought her huge smile to her face. Later in the day Betty celebrated her birthday with her fellow Residents, enjoying delicious cake, nibbles and a glass of champagne.
Cold Springs Park Home Manager, Jacqueline Johnstone said: “On behalf of everyone at Cold Springs Park I would like to wish Betty a very happy birthday, I am delighted we were able to help her celebrate her milestone birthday.”
