Chelmsford care home Residents enjoy VE celebrations

Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Admirals Reach care home enjoyed celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE day as everyone in the home got involved.

Colleagues dressed up and walked around the home with a VE themed trolley complete with ice cream cones for each Resident to choose from, which went down a treat with everyone during the lovely sunshine weather.

Everyone later enjoyed an afternoon sing-along as they waved flags together and sang along to some well-loved war time favourites and spoke of the memories the songs brought for them.

Lal Mangalam, home manager, commented: “Everyone has really enjoyed themselves today, it was good to get everyone thinking about the memories they had and it was lovely to hear some.”
