At Eckington’s
April Park residential care home, on 13th December, Residents have been testing their creativity skills by making Christmas table decorations and wreaths in preparation for Christmas.
Residents enjoyed making Christmas table decorations for the big day as well as Christmas wreaths to decorate the home.
Colleagues have made gift bags for Residents’ grandchildren and some of the Colleagues’ own children to enjoy.
While fully immersed in the activities, those involved enjoyed roasted chestnuts and a chocolate fountain with lots of goodies to indulge in.
Santa popped by too with his elves to say ‘Merry Christmas’.
Residents thought that the tables looked lovely and liked seeing everything finished and put together at the end. One Resident commented, “It is such a magical time of year.”
Amy Witham, Home Administrator, said, “We are very much looking forward to Christmas at April Park and it’s lovely to see the Residents’ contribution around the home.”
