Christmas and awards at Caerphilly care homeIn December at Trafalgar Park residential care and residential memory care home, in the village of Nelson, the Christmas festivities have begun. But that’s not all, everyone is celebrating a few awards received by Colleagues.

On 10th and 11th December, the annual Christmas parties were held at the home with an entertainer, singing and lots of party food.

Colleagues dressed up and Santa and his elf visited with gifts for everyone.

Everyone particularly enjoyed listening to the entertainer. Residents danced and sang together, one of the Residents commented, “I am so excited to be able to dance and sing when an entertainer is singing to us.”

Ellen Smith, Care Home Manager, commented, “It was lovely to see the Residents so happy and smiling.”

Also this month, four Colleagues have received the HC-One Kindness in care awards.

William Harris received the award after one Resident’s family praised him for the support which he gave their dad when he moved into the hope, helping him get settled. William

Mary Baber also received a Kindness in Care award after receiving praise from a social worker and family for her hard work, caring nature and willingness to always help.
