Christmas cheer at Rowley Park care home

Residents and team members at HC-One’s Maple Lodge care home in Rowley Park, Stafford, are getting in the festive spirit with some Christmas crafts and culinary creations.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Residents are unable to be with their loved ones for Christmas this year, but the team at Maple Lodge are dedicated to ensuring that Residents still have a wonderful festive season.

To keep festive spirits high the team arranged for Residents to create their very own Christmas cards for their friends and family, each Resident had their photograph taken by the Christmas tree so that they could include the picture in the card along with their heartfelt messages for loved ones.

A group of Residents also enjoyed making some delicious traditional yule logs, everyone enjoyed chatting as they melted chocolate and decorate their yule logs.

Maple Lodge Home Manager, Sarah Dodd said: “It is a difficult year for everyone, but at Maple Lodge we are keeping the Christmas cheer alive and focussing on the positives. Residents are excited for their friends and family to receive their very special Christmas cards.”
