Christmas crafting at Stevenage care homeThis month at Woodlands View in Stevenage, which provides residential, nursing and nursing dementia care, Residents have been getting crafty in preparation for Christmas.

The Christmas spirit is in full swing over at Woodlands View, with Residents sitting around their Christmas tree, listening to their favourite Christmas carols. They have been keeping warm and cosy with their cups of tea and hot chocolate, whilst also making up some lovely Christmas decorations to hang up around the care home and to be put with their Christmas Display.

Today’s session consisted of finishing up their snowmen dolly pegs which one of them can be seen in the photo of Ann, one of the Residents. Ann went on to say that “It’s a fun activity and the decorations look really pretty”.

Another Resident went on to say how much she enjoyed being all together at Christmas and said, “I love getting together with everyone in the home and feeling all festive. The decorations look lovely this year”. Jean, another Resident also mentioned how she remembered using the same looking dolly pegs for washing when she was younger.

Deby, the Home Manager also commented on the decorations, “The Christmas display looks wonderful, Residents have really enjoyed making it and its got the whole home feeling festive”.
