Community initiative promotes wellbeing at Ilkeston care home

Residents at Victoria Park care home in Ilkeston were delighted to receive an invitation from Ormiston Ilkeston Enterprise Academy for a special event. 

As part of HC-One’s commitment to establishing links with the local community, Victoria Park have built up a great relationship with the local academy.

Upon attending the event, Residents at Victoria Park were offered a selection of warm beverages from students at the academy, along with a delicious buffet. 

Residents enjoyed getting to know the students better, as they joined in with games of bingo and watched students perform a number of singing and dancing routines. 

Members from the Royal British Legion also attended the event and mingled with Residents from Victoria Park. 

Edward, a Resident at Victoria Park, said: “That was fantastic! Those children really put the effort in to perform for us.”
