Residents and colleagues at Charters Court Care Home in East Grinstead, West Sussex, are inviting the local community to a coffee morning and raffle later this month to raise funds for students at St Piers School and College, part of the charity Young Epilepsy.
The event will take place on Wednesday 25 March from 10.30am at the care home and will bring together residents, colleagues and members of the community for a morning of coffee, conversation and fundraising.
Funds raised will support the 204 children and young people who attend St Piers School and College. The specialist school supports students living with epilepsy and those with complex needs including severe learning difficulties, autism, and speech, language and communication challenges.
The coffee morning will feature a raffle with a range of prizes, and organisers are encouraging local people and businesses to donate raffle prizes to help boost the fundraising total.
Julie Harper, Home Manager at Charters Court Care Home said:
“Supporting charities that make a real difference in our community is incredibly important to us. St Piers School and College provides vital support to children and young people with complex needs, and we’re delighted to be able to host this coffee morning and raffle to help raise funds for their work.”
The event is open to everyone, and organisers hope local residents will come along to show their support, enjoy refreshments and take part in the raffle.
Anyone wishing to donate a raffle prize can leave items at reception at Charters Court Care Home. Those who would prefer to donate online can do so via the St Piers website.
