Congleton care home carnivalAt Greengables residential and nursing care home, in Cheshire, Colleagues arranged a carnival themed activity which went down very well indeed!

Lesley, on the wellbeing team, arranged a carnival themed activity. She played carousel music (the original ‘Big Bertha’) as well as organised lots of games.

Residents could participate in hook-a-duck, tin can alley, hoopla, and ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’. Some also created some balloons on sticks.

Lesley set up a sweet stall with lots of treats including chocolate bags and ice cream.

Residents June, Bernard, Margaret, Sheila, Angela and Glenys all got involved and many sang to the music. One Resident said, “I love carousel music. It brings back so many memories!”

Dawn Sadler, Care Home Manager, commented, “All the Residents got involved with carnival games and Lesley dressed up as a clown too which was very funny! Everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
