Consett care home Residents become models for the dayResidents at Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia, care home in Consett, County Durham, were keen to give their photography a refresh.

After a chat amongst the staff, Residents got together to plan a photography day so Residents could get some new pictures of themselves to send off to their family and friends.
 
So, the Residents could get some lovely pictures it was decided they would take a trip to Lumley Castle as there is some great scenic areas.

Maureen Urwin, Catherine Kirkley, Sue Earlam, Freda Roe, Jean Burrows, Rena Adamson, Noreen Knifton, Janet Claughan, and Mildred Weatherley had a fantastic day out and each of the Residents got some beautiful pictures.

The area was fantastic, with lots of flowers and plants. It made for some lovely shots that the Residents were really happy with. Sue, said, “I felt like a princess when I was having my photo taken at the castle.”

Maureen was a natural as she loves getting her photo taken. She commented, “I used to be a model for hair styles, I had lots of fun.”

The photos are now displayed on the interactive board in the reception area for everyone to see!

Kinga Kowaliczek, Care Home Manager, remarked,” The ladies looked so beautiful, Tracy, the Wellbeing Coordinator did a wonderful job of taking their photos. They had a blast being models for her and the photos have livened up the reception area.”
