Kinga Kowaliczek, Home Manager at HC-One’s
Greenways Court in Consett, County Durham, a residential and residential dementia care home, was crowned the winner of the ‘Care Home Worker of the Year’ category at The Northern Echo Health and Care Awards 2022.
The awards ceremony took place virtually on 28th April. This award recognises the contribution made by an individual care home worker who always strives to improve the delivery of care within the care home sector, through developing ways to enhance nursing care.
Kinga was recognised by the judges for showing outstanding levels of commitment in the care services she provides at Greenways Court Care Home, always putting the Residents being cared for at the heart of everything she does.
Kinga has progressed from being a Carer to her current position as Home Manager at Greenways Court, a residential and residential dementia care home. In her role as Home Manager, Kinga is essentially ‘everything to everyone’ - a listening ear and friend for the Residents and their loved ones, a role model and leader for the team, and a regulatory and compliance manager for the organisation who manages the service to deliver good commercial outcomes.
