Coppice Lodge Celebrate Mother's Day

Residents at Coppice Lodge Care Home, located in Arnold, near Nottingham, enjoyed a joyful celebration for Mother’s Day as the home hosted a special themed afternoon tea for residents and their loved ones.

The event brought residents and their families together for a relaxed afternoon filled with delicious treats, music and plenty of smiles. Alongside the regular selection of cakes, sandwiches and tea served during the home’s popular afternoon teas, guests were also treated to live entertainment from accordionist Jules the Accordionist, who kept the room lively with a variety of well-known tunes.

The celebration created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, with residents enjoying the chance to spend quality time with their families. One family even brought along their puppy, which quickly became a highlight of the afternoon and delighted residents.
The event was organised by Wellbeing and Activity Coordinators Abbie Moth and Nikola Kranatova, who regularly arrange activities designed to bring residents together with their loved ones.

Senior Carer Melanie Fitch said:
“Residents really seemed to enjoy the afternoon tea, and it’s something they look forward to, especially being able to invite their family along.”

Events like these play an important role in creating meaningful moments for residents, helping them stay connected with family and friends while celebrating special occasions together.

The team at Coppice Lodge regularly organises themed events and activities to ensure residents have opportunities to socialise, be entertained and mark important days throughout the year.
