It was an emotional day at HC-One’s Acacia Court care home in Pudsey as couple, Audrey and Stanley Robinson reunited in the home after a three-night stay in hospital to recover from surgery.
The pair who have never spent a night away from each other in their sixty-six years of marriage decided to book a respite stay at Acacia Court following surgery which require Audrey and Stanley to be separated for the first time. It was an emotional reunion for the couple with lots of cuddles, kisses and tears of happiness.
The happily married couple tied the knot back in December 1955, when asked what their secret is to a long and happy marriage, Stanley commented: “It’s a bit of give and take, I give her the money and she takes it.”
Acacia Court Home Manager, Glenys Winson said: “It was such a touching moment to see Audrey and Stanley together, the love and respect they share for each other is truly heart-warming.”
