Coventry care home Residents craft cards to send to loved onesResidents at HC-One’s Victoria Mews care home in Coventry recently crafted some wonderful handmade cards to send to their Relatives and friends back home.

Unfortunately, Colleagues have had to suspend all visits at Victoria Mews due to coronavirus restrictions placed on the home. However, everyone at Victoria Mews knows how important it is for Relatives and friends to see each other, especially at a time such as this.

Colleagues are trying to schedule as many video calls as possible with family members as well as phone calls. This week, Colleagues have spent some time with Residents making cards to send to their friends and family.

They hope that when receiving the cards, it will put a smile on Relatives faces. For Colleagues, Relatives feelings are important as well as their loved ones who reside in the home, so it is key to keeping this connection strong.

For some Residents who did not wish to write or find it hard to write, Colleagues got some paints and helped them put finger prints in their card, they seemed to enjoy this.
