Crieff care home Residents enjoy Italian themed dinner

Residents at HC-One’s The Birches care home in Crieff enjoyed a tasty Italian themed dinner in the homes dining area which was decorated with Italian themed colours and buntings.
 
Colleagues at The Birches care home decided to treat Residents to a lovely Italian themed dinner which was enjoyed in an Italian themed dining room. The room was decked with buntings, Italian flags and balloons.
 
On the menu for starters was a bruschetta topped with garlic, chopped tomatoes, basil and extra virgin olive oil. For the main, Residents enjoyed a lovely Saltimbocca di pollo dish which contains a juicy chicken breast wrapped in parma ham with Marsala sauce which is served with mashed potato and green beans. And for dessert, Residents had a choice between a chocolate Tiramisu or a creamy Cannoli di Pistacchio.
 
All Residents at The Birches care home enjoyed the themed dining room and particularly loved the three-course meal. “I’ve enjoyed the food, it was lovely. It is nice to have a themed dinner once in a while,” said one Birches care home Resident.
 
The themed day was deemed a huge success and Colleagues are the home are looking forward to the next one with some ideas already being discussed.
