Residents are taking part in Chinese-themed activities and enjoying plenty of food to celebrate Chinese New Year at HC-One’s Winters Park care home in Penrith.
To celebrate the year of the ox, Residents made traditional Chinese lanterns and had fun trying to get to grips with using chopsticks.
One Resident commented: “I’ve never celebrated Chinese New Year before but it was very fun. It’s nice to celebrate other cultures.”
For lunch they enjoyed a homemade chow mein, enjoyed by all at the home.
Winters Park Home Manager, Kate Lewis, said: “Seeing the staff and Residents enjoy a celebration of other cultures and getting everyone involved is amazing.”
