Cupcake decorating at Market Lavington homeToday, on National Cupcake day, Residents at Devizes care home, Market Lavington residential, nursing and residential memory care home, decorated cupcakes with coloured icing and other sparkly decorations!

The wonderful kitchen team provided Residents with cupcakes, icing bags and all the necessary equipment and they set about designing works of art!

Residents were impressed with the fancy nozzle provided, which made the icing come out in beautiful flowery shapes. There was also glittery sugar strands and other edible decorations that the Residents enjoyed placing on their creations.

And of course, the best part was at the end when everyone ate what they made!

Violet Lloyd said, “This was fun, and what a fancy icing nozzle you have!”

Sonja Parfitt added, “I enjoyed it. I used to make fairy cakes all the time when I was younger.”

Similarly, Angela Wakely enjoyed it too, “I enjoy baking. This was lovely. Thank you.” –

Riaz Ali, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “It was a gentle, relaxing afternoon and the great thing about this activity is that I was able to see everyone enjoying eating the results of their hard work!”
