Day at the beach for Coventry care homeHC-One’s Victoria Mews care home Residents were pleased to enjoy a beach themed day at the home recently.

As the weather was so beautiful, Colleagues decided to make the most of it and have a beach themed day – complete with activities based on the seaside.

Residents enjoyed reminiscence sessions as they spoke of their favourite beach destinations growing up – from Blackpool, to Skegness and even Cornwall.

Sensory activities were placed for Residents to enjoy, including listening to seaside themed music, touching and feeling sand with different items inside, as well as playing beach games in the garden.

The day ended with a delicious ice cream from the local ice cream van, an authentic end to the day!

Steph Swierzbinski, Home Manager, commented: “A great day was had by all, Residents really enjoyed going back to their beach days.”
