Day trip out for Aston House ResidentsThis month at Aston House in Middlesex, which provides residential dementia and nursing dementia care, Residents and Colleagues have been out for a day trip to do some shopping.

Colleagues at Aston House have taken the Residents who wanted to, out shopping for the day. Wellbeing Coordinators have expressed how much pleasure they got in seeing the smiles on the Residents faces when they were told that they could finally get out.

Residents Alice and Shanti said they absolutely loved getting some fresh air and enjoyed a stroll through the Southall market in town. Shanti got herself a nice new dress and also went through Poundland to get some toiletries. Alice went on to say, “It was lovely being out after such a long break”.

Once the shopping had been completed, Residents requested they had a meal at Spice Village together. They enjoyed a tasty Dal and Roti which made them very pleased.

Seema, the Home Manager said, “Fresh air and a change of scenery is good for the mind, body and soul”.
