Denton care home Residents have fantastic Jubilee CelebrationThe Platinum Jubilee weekend was celebrated throughout HC-One and all over the nation, this was no exception for residential and residential dementia care home, Greatwood House, as both Colleagues and Residents got together and made the most of the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

Home Administrator Sue got dressed up for the occasion in 1950s themed attire, corresponding to the coronation in 1952. Then the home welcomed entertainment from ‘Magic Moments’ who were also dressed in similar attire! Much to the Residents amusement, they looked like twins!

Later in the day, Residents enjoyed an afternoon buffet and great music with dancing.

Gez (pictured) who lives at Greatwood House, wanted her picture taken with the Queen and got her wish.

Another Resident commented, “Sue looks amazing in her outfit. It is so nice to see people in the home again.”

Odette Lilley, Registered Home Manager, remarked, “The staff work hard, and especially the wellbeing and the admin coming in on their days off to ensure the Residents have a good time.”
