Double birthday celebrations at Gateshead care home

There were twice as many birthday celebrations today at HC-One’s Springfield House in Low Fell.

The care home celebrated in style as Florrie Thompson and Jim Rowland turned one year older.

Florrie, 92 years young, and Jim, 88, enjoyed a socially distanced birthday tea party with the other Residents.

Florrie commented: “I had such a wonderful afternoon.

“Thank you so much for making my birthday so special.”

The pair spent a wonderful afternoon sipping wine and lemonade and playing party games before tucking into to a delicious birthday cake.

Springfield House Resident Liaison, Jill Wright, said: “It was heartwarming to see Residents enjoy the birthday party.

“We like to go that extra mile for our Residents.”
