Colleagues at
Yew Trees care home have been testing their physical strength by climbing a mountain in Snowdonia to raise for the home’s Residents fund.
Brooke, Sibby, Yana, Claire, Jodie and Ray (pictured), who are from the home’s housekeeping, seniors and sare teams, made their way to the top of the Welsh mountain, which took them several hours to complete, on 15th July 2022.
There were achy legs all round that day, but the views at the top were great and the Colleagues said that they didn’t realise how many others would be waiting to get to the top.
Residents at the 43-bed residential dementia care home were very pleased to hear of the news and gave their congratulations, with one Resident commented, “Well done, that’s really nice.”
The funds raised will go towards Resident activities in the coming weeks and months.
Lynda Bulley, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “It’s great to know the staff at Yew Trees will go above and beyond for the Residents.”
