Colleagues at HC-One’s Ridgeway Lodge care home were delighted as they took part in the ‘clap for carers’ moment on Thursday 23rd April, only to be surprised with their local fire crew standing outside the home clapping for them.
Residents and Colleagues stood clapping in the windows of the home as they looked out onto the car park, where members of their local fire station gathered in a distanced manner, to say ‘thank you’ by clapping for the home’s Colleagues.
The atmosphere was described as amazing as everyone cheered with thanks for the hard work undergone by carers and key workers each and every day.
One Colleague remarked: “It’s wonderful to come together right now, the atmosphere was great.”
