It was an exciting day for Residents at HC-One’s St Margaret’s care home in Durham as they were able to go on their first drive out in the minibus in over a year since coronavirus restrictions were introduced.
A group of Residents got in the minibus and enjoyed taking the scenic route to Wolsingham picnic area, everyone enjoyed admiring the picturesque views and seeing all of the wildlife as they drove down country lanes.
A great time was had by all, with one Resident commenting: “It was lovely to be out and about, I am looking forward to our next drive out.”
St Margaret’s Home Manager, Katherine Swainston said: “After over year of restrictions, getting out for a drive and seeing the world go by makes such a difference to the physical and emotional wellbeing of our Residents.”
Located on St Margarets Garth, St Margaret’s care home offers short and long term care packages for older ladies and gentlemen that require residential care, nursing care and residential memory care, for those living with dementia.
