East Grinstead care home celebrate chocolate

Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Charters Court care home enjoyed a sweet afternoon as they celebrated World Chocolate Day together.

The first activity was a chocolate quiz, which Residents enjoyed so much as it helped them understand the history of chocolate and they found this extremely interesting and informative.

Residents then enjoyed a chocolate facial in the salon, finding it a strange but refreshing experience, before Colleagues went around the home to offer truffles of all flavours to Residents.

Everyone complimented the chocolates, and the Residents especially enjoyed a tipple of sherry or Baileys to accompany theirs.

Charters Court Home Manager commented: “A lovely, and different, day was enjoyed by all, seeing the Residents enjoy their chocolate facials was great and it was nice for everyone to sample different sweet treats.”
