Easter celebrations and duck eggs delight The Hyde ResidentsIt has certainly been an Easter to remember at The Hyde residential care home, in Walditch, as it wasn’t just the usual Easter crafts and lots of chocolate to indulge in, but the home has also welcomed some duck eggs!

All sorts were going on at The Hyde this April, including an Easter raffle, which is to raise money for runner ducks at the home. As well as an Easter egg hunt, spring flower arranging, and plenty of chocolate eggs on offer.

But it has all been about ducks this spring, as the highlight of the weekend was watching the 12 duck eggs going into the home’s new incubator, and eagerly waiting for hatchlings!

One of the Residents commented, “This has been the best day. I can’t wait for the eggs to hatch!”

Becky Dawe, Care Home Manager, commented, “There were so many smiles, and it was great to hear and see everyone enjoying the weekend! Fingers crossed the eggs hatch; we are all very excited.”
