Easter Celebrations at Eastbourne HouseResidents at Eastbourne House, residential and residential dementia care home, in Whitley Bay, celebrated Easter with lots of fun activities.

The Easter celebrations got off to a ‘cracking’ start a week before Easter Sunday to ensure all floors were involved in the event.
Children from Marine Park First School came to the home and did an Easter Egg hunt in the back garden, which the Residents loved to watch from their bedroom windows. The children also finished up with an egg and spoon race. The Residents found is hilarious and it brought many happy memories back from their childhood.

On Easter Sunday, the Residents enjoyed a wonderful Sunday Lunch, made and prepared by the Chef, Gary and his fantastic team.

Tom Ord, a Resident, commented, “I have been bowled over with the effort gone into the festivities and the delicious Sunday Lunch of lamb was just the icing on the cake, along with a couple of gin and tonics!”

Karen Dew, Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “It was a great build up to a great weekend, we had such a laugh, all the Residents loved it and the staff were able to get involved too!”
