Easter celebrations for Greengables ResidentsHC-One’s Congleton residential and nursing home was dressed to the nines for Easter this year as Colleagues and Residents decorated the home inside and out.

Residents made some beautiful decorations and Colleague Lesley dressed up as an Easter Bunny. Everyone said they loved the Easter bunnies outside (pictured centre) and local people came to see and gave Residents a wave through the window. A craft was also organised making Easter bonnets as a competition. Resident Sheila said she loved her Easter bunny prize for winning and hugged it.

The home also organised a Raffle for 'Name the Easter Bunny' which has raised £60 for the Residents fund. Dawn won the raffle with the quirky name ‘Honey Buns’.

An Easter egg hunt went down a treat for all Residents as chocolate and fluffy bunny prizes were hid around the home. Lesley gave fresh flowers or chocolate eggs to all the Residents who thanked Lesley for their gifts. Michael, who lives at Greengables, said, “I will enjoy his chocolate!”

On Easter Sunday a delicious lamb roast was tucked into and thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Dawn Sadler, Greengables Manager, remarked, “The home looks lovely and the Residents are so happy with the Easter celebrations.”
