Residents at HC-One’s Kinnaird Manor care home in Falkirk were delighted to learn that the homes popular knitting club was returning, another sign of things turning back to normal.
Colleagues were so pleased to announce that the homes age old knitting club was returning, after Residents voiced their interest in taking part. Some of the Residents are even teaching staff members how to knit, so it will be a great experience for all.
Kinnaird Manor Home Manager, Donna Stewart said: “I’d love to learn to knit, my grandma tried teaching me when I was little.”
It was a lovely afternoon for Residents, who enjoyed a chat about how times have changed and how things like knitting, crochet and letter writing are all now a dying art with new technologies replacing them.
Mary, a Resident at Kinnaird Manor said: “I always enjoyed knitting but struggle a little now to keep concentration, it’s nice to have the club back, even just to take part for a short time.”
