It was an emotional month at HC-One’s White Rose House in Thongsbridge, Holmfirth as Residents and their loved ones were reunited after almost a year apart due to national COVID-19 restrictions.
Following government guidance, White Rose House opened its doors to Relatives once again with all the appropriate measures being taken to ensure the safety of Residents, their loved ones and team members.
The team at White Rose House arranged the first visits as a surprise for Residents, they were all delighted when they heard that they were going to be able to see one of their loved ones in person again. They also arranged a special gift for each Relative that visited which included a photograph of their loved one, a card and other small items.
Emotions were running high for the first moments where loved ones were reunited, there were tears of happiness and the love could be felt throughout White Rose House.
White Rose House Home Manager, Jodie Seymour said: “It was truly heart-warming to see our Residents with their loved ones again, after a difficult year for everyone you start to appreciate all of the special moments in life.”
