Festive afternoon tea at Poulton-le-Fylde care homeResidents enjoyed an afternoon tea trolley service at Bankhouse residential, residential dementia, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Hambleton.

Activity Coordinator Pauline Skeer plotted with Father Christmas himself to visit Residents who had a choice of hot and cold drinks, mince pies, chocolates and sweets to choose from on the trolley.

Pauline and Father Christmas visited Residents in their rooms and the communal areas offering Christmas cheer. There was a definite smile or a laugh from everyone when Father Christmas arrived.

The catering team prepared mulled wine and hot chocolate topped with cream and chocolate drops which went down very well.

Pauline commented, “The afternoon was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone.”

Ian, who is a Resident, said, “I don’t think it was the real Father Christmas!”

Janet Barnes, Care Home Manager, commented, “It was a great way to get us all in the mood for the big day on the 25th.”
