HC-One’s Newfield Lodge Care Home in Castleford was filled with festive cheer as residents and colleagues enjoyed a magical visit from the Half Acres Primary School choir.
The children delivered a heart-warming performance of Christmas songs, bringing smiles and even a few happy tears to those in attendance. Their beautiful singing created a joyful atmosphere throughout the home, touching the hearts of residents and colleagues alike.
The visit held extra special meaning as two of the choir members have family living at Newfield Lodge. Watching their loved one’s face light up during the performance was described as “truly magical” by colleagues.
Lauren Poole, Activities Coordinator said:
“We were absolutely delighted to welcome the Half Acres Primary School choir today. Their energy, kindness, and incredible singing brought so much happiness to our residents. It’s moments like these that really make the festive season special.”
Newfield Lodge extends a heartfelt thank you to the teachers and staff at Half Acres Primary School for organising the visit, and an even bigger thank you to the talented children for sharing their time and holiday spirit.
Later in the afternoon, residents continued the celebrations by taking part in a festive craft session, creating their own Christmas cards. The activity brought plenty of smiles as residents embraced the season with creativity, colour, and community spirit.
