Residents and colleagues at HC-One Scotland’s Merino Court Care Home in Greenock, Inverclyde, were delighted to welcome Martin McCluskey, Member of Parliament for Inverclyde and Renfrewshire West, and Stuart McMillan MSP for Greenock and Inverclyde, on Friday 5th December 2025, as part of the home’s Christmas Craft Fayre celebrations.
The festive event, which brought together residents, families, and members of the local community, provided the perfect setting for Mr McCluskey and Mr McMillan’s visit. They joined residents in admiring their handmade crafts and festive decorations, reflecting the home’s creative spirit and strong community connections during the holiday season.
Both politicians were also given a guided tour of the 60-bed nursing and nursing dementia care home, where they explored Merino Court’s inviting facilities including a hobby room, quiet room, stylish communal lounges, hair salon, comfortable dining areas, and well-kept gardens. They spent time speaking with residents and colleagues, learning more about the compassionate, person-centred care that makes Merino Court a special place to live and work.
The visit was an opportunity to celebrate both the home’s commitment to exceptional care and the dedication of its team in creating a warm, inclusive environment that feels like home for residents and their families.
