Fife care home welcome families for garden visitsResidents at HC-One’s Balfarg care home in Fife have finally been reunited with their loved ones after months of lockdown and visiting restrictions have been eased.

Just like every other care home in Britain, Balfarg has been subject to strict visiting restrictions and Residents have been without visitors for many weeks. On Wednesday 22nd July, these restrictions were lifted at Balfarg and Residents were finally reunited with their loved ones.

Balfarg care home now have new garden furniture to accommodate visits which is so safe and comfortable for Residents and loved ones.

Jenny Craig, a Resident at Balfarg said: “I have been so well looked after and have keep busy singing a lot. I can’t really understand what’s going on, they never had a virus in my day that shut shops and stopped people working.”

Balfarg care home has been so fortunate not to have had any cases of coronavirus either amongst the staff or the Residents. Everyone at the home count their blessings every day but are now seeing happy faces again which makes all of the sacrifice and restrictions worthwhile.

Balfarg Home Manager, Sharon Watson said: “It’s a joy to see the smiles and tears when families see their loved ones again after such a long time.”
